ANGRA Singer Checks In From The Recording Studio

January 13, 2004

ANGRA vocalist Edu Falaschi has posted the following update on the band's official web site:

"As announced, we are currently recording ANGRA's new studio album. [Drummer] Aquiles has already finished his parts and they kick ass. However, I'll talk a little bit about the pre-production of the album.

"The rehearsals began in early November. We listened to the songs and decided which of them would eventually appear in the record. In the end, eleven songs were chosen and rehearsed. After a month or so of rehearsals, producer Dennis Ward [SILENT FORCE, PINK CREAM 69] arrived in Brazil [from Germany] to get acquainted with the songs. Pre-production with him lasted twenty days. We had to go through hours and hours of hard work, but it was all worth it.

"On December 23rd Dennis flew back to Germany to spend Christmas time with his family. We took some time off was well, but it only lasted until the end of Season's holidays. We didn't waste any time, so on January 2nd Dennis was back in Brazil. This time, though, for the official recordings of the new album. Upon his arrival, he went directly to [Mosh Studios in São Paulo] to prepare everything for the recordings. I believe Aquiles didn't have time to digest his 'New Year's Eve turkey', 'cause his parts started to be recorded as soon as he arrived from his homeland in southern Brazil.

"Anyway, everything's just fine so far. The next phase of the recordings are being held at this very moment and we shall get back soon with further news. Stay tuned!"

ANGRA's follow-up to 2001's "Rebirth" is tentatively due this summer through SPV Records.
